Somerset County Council are proposing to construct a Park and Ride scheme on the A358 to the East of Taunton. The location of the scheme is close to the existing junction 25 of the M5. The purpose of this website is to provide you with information about the proposals and enable you to give us your views, which will be passed on to the planning authorities. Please complete our online survey questionnaire.
Some information on the effects of the proposed Park & Ride at Cambria Farm.
- It will cause traffic to back up onto the M5 roundabout and onto Motorway slip roads.
- It will cause more stationary traffic through Henlade, an Air Quality Management Area.
- It will cause increased traffic jams for traffic exiting Taunton & Hankridge.
The strategy specifies that it should be considered only in conjunction with a bypass for Henlade.
Ruishton Parish Council have major concerns about this proposal and the effect that it would have on the lives of the people living alongside the A358, the effect it would have on the users of the A358 and the effect that it would have on the traffic in Taunton itself. We would be very grateful if you could give us a few minutes of your time by answering the following questionnaire.
